Overview

Situated in a residential area lying to the east of the River Dart in the characterful and historic town of Totnes, the bungalow enjoys lovely views over the town and countryside to Dartmoor in the distance. Lansdowne Park is a mature, quiet road with the town centre an easy 10 minute walk away. If walking or driving into the town is not preferred, an hourly local bus service operates during weekdays and can be boarded immediately outside of the property. For those last minute necessities there is a local store and post office just a 2 minute walk away.

The bungalow has its own driveway affording off-road parking ( which is something of a bonus in Totnes ), alongside a small lawn to the front of the property, while to the rear is a larger secluded garden which  comprises a 20ft x 8ft patio leading, by way of 5 steps, up to a 32ft x 23ft lawn, all complete with garden seating. Again, from the lawn, there are great views across the town to Dartmoor.

Inside, the accommodation is bright, airy and of a modern style but, for its size, gives a feeling of space whilst also having an air of warmth and cosiness. The bungalow is centrally heated.  A galley kitchen and the living/dining room both lead off from the entrance hallway. The bathroom has a standard bath with an electric shower, washbasin and W.C. Three people can be accommodated in two bedrooms, a single and a double. The double bedroom has French windows leading onto the patio.

Totnes is a small, attractive town with a wealth of history behind it - the clock tower ( East Gate ) and castle being prominent features. It also has a character and feel all of its own, much of which can be attributed to the influence of the students of Dartington College of Arts of the more recent past. The town is also well known for its unique independent shops, and has plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from.

As well as its charm and history, Totnes also lies at the heart of South Devon amidst some beautiful countryside with the rolling hills and fantastic coastline of the South Hams to the south, and the wonderful rugged scenery of Dartmoor to the north. Also the popular beaches of Torquay and Paignton are only 7-10 miles away. In fact all of this lovely countryside is within 30 - 40 minutes drive. For those without their own transport, Totnes is also well served by buses which can be used to reach many of the local areas such as those mentioned above as well as the major centres of Plymouth and Exeter. The town is also served by the main rail link to the south-west.
